Part of Italy Yacht Charter.
Charter a luxury yacht for Capri — crewed motor yachts, sailing yachts and catamarans from Blue Ocean Club with real-time availability for 2026.
A luxury yacht charter Capri rewards guests with a combination you cannot replicate from a hotel: total privacy, an itinerary that flexes around your party, and access to coves, restaurants and reefs that road-bound travellers simply never see. Blue Ocean Club curates Capri cruises across motor yachts, sailing yachts, catamarans and superyachts — every option live-priced against the global live availability feed and presented with our 100% best-price guarantee.
Capri sits at the heart of one of the world's great cruising grounds. Days unfold at the pace of the sea: long swims off the platform, lunch at a beach club where your concierge has held the best table, an afternoon cruise to a quieter anchorage, cocktails on the bow as the light softens. The captain rewrites tomorrow's plan based on tonight's weather and your party's mood.
We work with a small list of crewed yacht charter Capri operators we know personally — captains we have cruised with, chefs whose tasting menus we have eaten, stewardesses who know your children's names by the end of day one. The result is a charter that feels less like a booking and more like a private invitation.
The Capri charter season runs from late May through early October, with warm settled days, calm mornings and a reliable afternoon breeze. Sea temperatures climb into the mid-20s°C through high summer and the prevailing winds rarely exceed a comfortable Force 4.
Signature anchorages, swim-only coves and a handful of marquee harbours form the backbone of any Capri sailing itinerary — your captain rotates between them daily based on wind, swell and the rhythm of your party. A crewed catamaran in the 50–70 ft range remains the most versatile choice for Capri, with shallow draft for tucked-away bays and the deck space families and groups expect. Couples often prefer a sailing yacht of 50–60 ft; larger parties step up to a motor yacht or superyacht with full crew.
Typical luxury yacht charter Capri cost starts from around €25,000 per week for a comfortable crewed catamaran and scales to €150,000–€500,000+ for a 40 m superyacht — base rates are exclusive of APA (usually 25–35%), fuel, VAT and crew gratuity. Our charter managers run live availability against your dates and present the best three options, side by side, with a 100% best-price guarantee. Minimum charter duration is seven nights in peak season; short-week and split itineraries are available in shoulder months. Tell us your dates, party size and preferred yacht style and we will revert within the day — by email, WhatsApp or a 20-minute call with the broker who will run your charter.
The prime window for a yacht charter Capri runs late May through early October. Use the table below to balance weather, value and crowds.
| Month | Weather | Pros | Cons | Crowd |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| May | Mild, sunny (18-24°C) | Moderate, becoming busier towards month-end | ||
| June | Warm, sunny (22-28°C) | Busy, high season commences | ||
| July | Hot, very sunny (28-32°C+) | Very busy, booking essential for everything | ||
| August | Hot, intensely sunny (30-34°C+) | Extremely busy, often crowded. Highest demand for services. | ||
| September | Warm, sunny (25-30°C) | Busy, but less frenetic than July/August. | ||
| October | Mild, still sunny (20-25°C) | Moderate, many establishments begin to close towards month-end. |

A handful of signature experiences that define a charter on this coast.
Focus on circumnavigating Capri, exploring the Blue Grotto, Green Grotto, and White Grotto. Tender access to secluded swimming coves and iconic Faraglioni.
The volcanic islands of Ischia and Procida offer thermal spas, ancient castles, charming fishing villages, and vibrant local culture. Less crowded than Capri.
While not directly in the Gulf of Naples, easy access to Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. Offers dramatic cliffside towns and world-class dining, requiring careful anchoring or mooring decisions.
Cruising along the mainland coast from Sorrento, with opportunities to visit charming towns, culinary experiences, and close proximity to Pompeii and Herculaneum history.
A pristine area between Capri and the Amalfi Coast, offering exceptional visibility for snorkelling and diving, with strict regulations to preserve its natural beauty.
Capri is the highest-density luxury day-stop in the Western Mediterranean. The island is too small and too marina-constrained to anchor a 7-night itinerary, but every credible Amalfi-Coast or Bay-of-Naples programme builds at least one full day and one anchored night around it. Treat Capri as a tactical asset inside a wider charter — Naples or Sorrento embark, Positano and Amalfi as the cultural spine, Procida and Ischia as the quieter western leg, and Capri as the one morning your guests will photograph above everything else.
This guide is written for charterers and family offices planning a 2026 booking. It assumes you understand why you are paying €120,000–€650,000 per week for the right hull and crew, and it focuses on the operational, regulatory, and social variables that decide whether Capri delivers or disappoints.
Three reasons charterers keep asking for Capri specifically:
This is the single most misunderstood variable. Capri has no charter-yacht berthing on the island itself. Marina Grande is a commuter ferry port; Marina Piccola is a beach with seasonal pilot buoys. Yachts above 30 metres do not stay overnight inside either harbour. Three options, in order of broker preference:
The captain's standing order, written into every charter we broker, is: Blue Grotto at 08:00 or skip it. By 10:00 the entrance has a 40-boat queue and the Coast Guard is turning charter tenders away.
| Yacht profile | Why it works for Capri |
|---|---|
| 30–45 m motor yacht with shallow-draft tender (≤0.5 m) | Tender clears the Grotta Azzurra entrance arch (1 m at the lowest tide). Hull anchors clear of the Faraglioni traffic. |
| 50–60 m superyacht with high-speed limo tender | Tender transfer to Marina Grande takes 4 minutes; guests arrive dry at the funicular. Hull anchors in the deeper Sorrento roadstead. |
| Avoid: <24 m without a dedicated tender, sailing yachts with deep keels (>2.8 m) | Anchor options narrow to a handful of positions and you lose the Grotta access entirely. |
A Riva 56 Rivale-class tender is the social weapon for via Camerelle drop-offs at Marina Piccola. Guests register this detail.
Day 3 (Capri arrival): Cross from Positano at 06:30. Grotta Azzurra 08:00–08:45. Anchor Marina Piccola 09:30. Lunch at Da Paolino in the lemon grove (booked December for August dates). Afternoon at the Faraglioni anchorage with the toy garage open. Overnight Sorrento roadstead or repositioning to Nerano.
Day 4 (Capri full day): 09:00 funicular to Capri Town, two hours in via Camerelle and the Piazzetta. Helicopter or boat transfer to Anacapri and the Monte Solaro chairlift if guests are walkers. Sunset cocktails at La Fontelina (the beach club below the Faraglioni — bring the tender), dinner at Aurora or Il Riccio. Anchor Sorrento overnight.
This pattern delivers Capri at full intensity without the libeccio-exposed night that has spoiled more than one charter. Captains who cut this corner end up at 03:00 looking for a lee shore.
Three reservations decide the Capri leg. Make them in this order:
La Fontelina and Da Luigi (the two Faraglioni beach clubs) take bookings through the boat — your captain calls on VHF channel 74 in the morning and pays cash on arrival. Tip in euros; tip well; ask for the table closest to the swim platform.
Capri is most reliable in June and September. July and August deliver heat and social density but also afternoon libeccio swells that close the Grotta Azzurra two days out of seven. The maestrale of late August is the single most-cited reason captains reposition guests to the northern Bay of Naples (Procida, Ischia) for 24 hours and re-attack Capri once the front passes.
Plan a charter that can absorb a one-day Capri delay without losing the booking — the day saved by the captain on Tuesday is always the day Aurora was held for Wednesday.
The yacht charter fee is published in the central agreement (MYBA form, EUR). Capri-specific spend lands in the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) at 30–35% of the charter fee. Realistic 2026 numbers for a 50 m motor yacht, party of 10, two-night Capri block:
Plus 22% IVA on Italian charter cruising, harbour fees at Sorrento (€800–€1,500 per night for a 50 m motor yacht in season), and the tip pool at 10–15% of the charter fee, paid in cash to the captain at the end of the week.
Capri is not a base. It is a 36-hour cinematic peak inside a Bay-of-Naples charter that runs Naples or Sorrento → Procida → Ischia → Positano → Capri → Amalfi → back to base. Treat it that way and it is the most reliable highlight reel in the Mediterranean. Treat it as a stop-and-overnight on a budget itinerary and you will be in Marina Piccola in a 25-knot southerly, watching your guests photograph someone else's yacht in better weather off Nerano.
We broker around 35 Bay-of-Naples charters a year. The ones that work share two patterns: a captain who has the Grotta Azzurra timing in his bones, and a broker who held Aurora in April. Both are the kind of thing that doesn't exist on a comparison website.
For July–August 2026 the realistic booking window closed in late autumn 2025 for the top 30 hulls. Early 2026 still has shoulder availability (last week of June, first two weeks of September) on hulls in the 35–55 m motor-yacht bracket; the 60 m+ inventory is largely committed. October has weather risk but spectacular light, and the Da Paolino lemons are still on the trees.
Send the brief, the dates, the guest count and the cruising preference. We will tell you within 24 hours which three yachts are the right shape for a Capri-centric programme and which marina cluster (Naples, Sorrento, Salerno) you should embark from.
