Captain Andreas Voulgaris Andreas is a holder of the RYA’s Yachtmaster Ocean and he is also certified for GMDSS Long Range Operations, firefighting and lifesaving. He speaks English fluently.He grew up in a family business that is owning, chartering and providing assistance to yachts. Since the year 2000 he has been working as skipper in sailing and power vessels all around the Mediterranean. His first charters started with sailing vessels in the Sporades islands (Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonisos) located in the Northern Aegean sea. He stayed there for 2 years doing weekly sailing trips as captain. Then he moved to Athens and Lavrion where he got to know the Cyclades islands (Mykonos, Paros, Syros, Santorini etc) very well. The Last 6 years he is based at the Ionian Sea where he acquired perfect knowledge of the area’s attractions and weather conditions. Over the years and countless miles he has developed excellent seamanship. He is a people pleaser and has a great sense of humor. Andreas has two daughters, In his spare time he is an enthusiastic road cyclist and a swimmer.

Chef : Victor Antonatos Victor is an accomplished onboard chef with a strong culinary foundation and broad international cuisine expertise, including Mediterranean, French, Asian, and Italian. His onboard experience includes serving as chef on the M/Y Opera 85 and Sunreef 60, complemented by earlier land-based hospitality roles as floor manager at Bonna Terra. He combines culinary creativity with operational knowledge, managing provisions, developing menus based on guest preferences and dietary needs, and ensuring food safety through HACCP compliance. Additionally, he offers wine pairing expertise and team-oriented communication. Victor’s training includes formal culinary studies at Chef D'Oeuvre, STCW certification, and additional safety and rescue training, making him a well-rounded and safety-conscious culinary professional in the yachting industry.

GIGRECA, the 76 feet (23meters) sailing-yacht built by Admiral, is one-of-a-kind design, with pedigree from one of the finest shipyards of the industry allowing guests to feel like cruising on a motor-yacht!
The sheer elegance of her minimalist lines, reflect her performance character along with the luxurious touch found all over, GIGRECA is an ideal yacht charter all around Greece,
for up to 8 guests, catered by a very welcoming crew of 3, who wish to experience true sailing in comfort and style. At the same time, the yacht has achieved RINA Green Plus Platinum certification for her low impact on the environment.
Her outdoor spaces, characterized by the large cockpit area, with two opposite facing sofa beds and two folding dining tables, create a welcoming and spacious lounge spot, sheltered by a hard-top and glass sprayhood, with a retractable roof top.
Her mostly unobstructed deck, offers space atop superstructure, with sunbeds and a very cozy lounge ahead of mast, with sofa and cushions around a table, ideal for a post-swim aperitif with snacks, offering shade too.
When anchored, Gigreca’s sophisticated swimming platform reveals an additional spot, right by the sea where refreshments can be served, while taking a break from watersports.
An elevated glass surrounded super-structure is where the indoor lounge is found, with an L-shaped sofa around a large dining table. Cruising Greece: when to go and where to anchor
Best time
The charter season runs from April to October. Peak activity occurs in July and August, coinciding with high temperatures and the Meltemi wind in the Aegean. May, June, September, and October offer milder weather and lower traffic. The Ionian Sea generally experiences lighter winds than the Aegean, while the Saronic Gulf provides sheltered conditions.
