The Crew

A professional crew of 2 dedicated to your charter. Working language: English.

Hal Barzey
Captain

Hal Barzey

Capt Hal: Hal hails from the island of Jamaica but moved to the BVI at a very young age. He grew up on the water sailing his entire life with both of his granddad's being yacht captains before him. He has been delighting guests for over 25 years, imparting his infinite wisdom about all things BVI and, most importantly, always making sure the guests have a blast! He graduated from The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and holds his RYA Master sailing license. Gregarious, affable and always able to make guests smile, he is a true gem in the BVI!

Pia
Chef

Pia

Chef Pia: Pia is a native BVIslander where she has lived all her life. Cooking has been a passion since a young age learning from her very talented mother and grandmother the ways of cheffing. Sailing has long been in her blood as well with several family members being yacht captains allowing her to be out to sea from an early age. Just after school her love of cooking led her to found Pia's Sweets, a confectionary that produced some of the islands most sumptuous treats. After being land locked for many years with the sweet shop the ocean beckoned once more so she decided to bring her extensive cheffing repertoire to BVI island guests. You will love the diversity, presentation, and heartiness of her dishes - not to mention dessert! You will not be disappointed.

Ownership economics

What a yacht like PERPETUAL BLUE costs to own — not just to charter

The published weekly rate for PERPETUAL BLUE is the base charter fee, not an all-in total. APA, taxes, repositioning and itinerary-specific services are confirmed separately. Ownership of a 18m yacht in this class is a five-year commitment — crew payroll, insurance, class and refit reserves, berthing and depreciation. Our yacht ownership vs charter vs fractional ownership study runs the real five-year cost of a €15 million yacht against the equivalent charter spend, and the most profitable yachts for owners ranking shows how much of that stack charter revenue actually recovers.
