The charter season runs from May to October. July and August are the busiest months with high temperatures and light winds. May, June, and September offer stable weather with lower visitor density. The prevailing wind is the maestral, a reliable north-westerly breeze that typically develops in the afternoon. Early and late season can experience occasional southerly winds, which may affect anchorage conditions.

- Tivat (TIV) is the primary airport, located 10 minutes from Porto Montenegro; Podgorica (TGD) and Dubrovnik (DBV) are alternatives, with Dubrovnik being a one-hour drive plus border crossing.
- Vessels entering Montenegrin waters must complete formal check-in procedures at designated ports of entry before proceeding to other anchorages.
- Cruising permits and tourist taxes are mandatory for all charter yachts and are payable to the local harbour master's office.
