About the yacht

About SETTE

Description as supplied.

SETTE is a 40m Riva 130 delivered in 2026, with the sleek profile, extensive glazing and contemporary Italian styling for which Riva is known. At 299 GT, she offers generous interior and exterior spaces across four deck levels, with accommodation for 10 guests in five double cabins.

Her exterior spaces extend from the beach area at water level through to the expansive sun deck. The main deck aft has a comfortable open-air lounge, while the upper deck offers further seating and dining immediately outside the upper saloon. Forward of the wheelhouse is an additional relaxation area with seating and generous sunpads, providing a more private outdoor space away from the aft decks. Above, the foredeck is particularly well suited to relaxed days on board, with a Jacuzzi, sunpads and a seating area with a table. The sundeck has welcome shade provided by a hardtop over the bar, grill and dining area, while the open aft section a comfortable lounge area. At water level, the teak-decked beach area creates an inviting connection with the sea and provides direct access to the water with a gangway and swim ladder.

Inside, SETTE continues the clean, contemporary approach, with large windows bringing plenty of natural light into the main saloon, where comfortable lounge seating is complemented by a dining area forward. The upper deck has a second saloon, giving guests another relaxed interior living space with direct access to the aft dining and seating area. Having two separate saloons is a practical advantage on charter, particularly for families or groups who appreciate having different spaces in which to relax.

Forward on the main deck is the full-beam master suite, with a separate dressing area and a large en-suite bathroom. A further eight guests are accommodated in four double cabins on the lower deck. Two VIP cabins are positioned aft, with two additional double guest cabins forward, and all four have their own en-suite bathrooms.

SETTE combines the contemporary styling of the Riva 130 with a well-proportioned four-deck layout and an excellent choice of exterior spaces. Her expansive sun deck, separate upper and main deck living areas, beach area and five double cabins make her particularly well suited to families and groups looking for both sociable spaces and a degree of privacy. With an experienced crew on board, guests can expect attentive service and a relaxed, enjoyable charter experience.

Cruising Sicily & the Aeolian Islands: when to go and where to anchor

Best time

The charter season runs from May to October. July and August bring settled, warm weather and light breezes, but anchorages and ports are crowded. May, June, September, and October offer quieter cruising grounds with pleasant temperatures and steady westerly or northwesterly winds. Scirocco winds from the south-east can develop occasionally, generating uncomfortable swells in exposed southern anchorages, while late summer can bring isolated afternoon squalls.

Practical tips

  • Anchoring restrictions and exclusion zones are established by Capitaneria di Porto ordinances rather than a regional marine park; consult local maritime notices before dropping anchor.
  • Milazzo, the usual departure port for the Aeolian Islands, is about 2 hours by road from Catania; Palermo's marinas are about 35 minutes from Palermo airport.
  • Stock primary provisions at base marinas in Milazzo or Palermo, as island supermarkets on Salina and Lipari have smaller inventories and limited dockside access.

Anchorages to know

  • Cala degli Zimmari (Panarea)
This sandy bay south of Panarea offers secure holding in northwesterly winds, serving as an authorised anchorage near restricted Cala Junco.
  • Porto Pignataro (Lipari)
Located north of Lipari town, this sheltered harbour provides marina berths and safe holding, alternative to the restricted waters of Marina Corta.
  • Pollara (Salina)
A circular bay beneath volcanic cliffs on Salina's western coast, providing sheltered day anchorage over sand and rock in calm summer conditions.
  • Sciara del Fuoco (Stromboli)
Yachts can drift offshore in deep water to observe Stromboli's nocturnal eruptions, adhering to local maritime authority exclusion distances.
