Who ZURI 3 suits

ZURI 3 is a 16.8 m sailing catamaran from Bali Catamarans, tailored for up to 6 guests across 3 cabins, supported by a crew of 2. She suits families or small groups of friends seeking an active yet restful holiday. Life outdoors is effortless, with paddleboards and floating mats ready for quiet anchorages, while a bbq on deck and refreshing air conditioning ensure total comfort when relaxing after an afternoon swim.

In the Bahamas, ZURI 3 compares directly with alternative catamarans across key metrics. Her 16.8 m length sits right in line with the typical size of yachts in the fleet, and she welcomes the same gathering of 6 guests. Built in 2021, her age profile mirrors what is customary in the area, while her weekly rate aligns closely with what you would expect for charter vessels of her standing.

The best time to step aboard ZURI 3 aligns with her dual-region programme across the Caribbean and the Bahamas. For winter 2026, cruising the Caribbean or the Bahamas from January through to April delivers sunshine and reliable trade winds. Alternatively, her summer 2027 season in the Bahamas and the Caribbean makes May, June, and July wonderful months to experience her on the water.

Cruising the Bahamas: when to go and where to anchor

Best time

The primary charter season runs from mid-December through April, marked by prevailing easterly trade winds of 10 to 20 knots and dry conditions. Occasional winter cold fronts bring stronger northwesterly winds. May is warm and calm. The Atlantic hurricane season officially spans 1 June to 30 November, bringing higher humidity, increased rainfall, and lower charter traffic, though summer conditions can offer settled seas outside of tropical systems.

Practical tips

  • Fly into Nassau (NAS) or Exuma (GGT); Nassau's marinas are 20–30 minutes from Lynden Pindling International, while regional and private flights access Out Island airstrips.
  • Cruising permits are required upon entry, and fishing or shelling is strictly prohibited within the boundaries of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park.
  • Provision thoroughly in Nassau before departing for the Out Islands, where grocery selections are limited and dependent on weekly freight deliveries.

Anchorages to know

  • Shroud Cay
Located within the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, this uninhabited mangrove island offers tidal creeks navigable by tender and sheltered anchorage on its western side.
  • Staniel Cay
A central Exuma hub providing protected mooring options, direct access to Thunderball Grotto, and close proximity to Big Major Cay.
  • Warderick Wells Cay
The headquarters of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park features a protected mooring field within a natural deep-water channel and marked hiking trails.
  • Highbourne Cay
Situated at the northern gateway to the Exumas, it provides sheltered anchorage on its leeward side and an established marina for fuel and water.
