Blue Ocean Club Opens Nominations and Public Vote for the Yacht Awards 2027

A 100-yacht longlist across five size classes — verified public ballots contribute 40% of each category result; winners publish on 15 January 2027.

PORT D’ANDRATX, MALLORCA — 14 September 2026 — Blue Ocean Club today opens nominations and the verified public vote for the Blue Ocean Club Yacht Awards 2027.

The 2027 edition returns with a 100-yacht longlist: 20 active charter yachts in each of the five established size classes. Every nominee links to a complete Blue Ocean Club profile so voters can compare the yacht, not only the photograph.

The five categories remain:

  • Best Charter Yacht 20–29.9m
  • Best Charter Yacht 30–39.9m
  • Best Charter Yacht 40–49.9m
  • Best Charter Yacht 50–69.9m
  • Best Charter Yacht 70m+

The verified public vote contributes 40% of each category result. The remaining 60% follows the published editorial framework used to compare charter experience and service, guest space and layout, amenities and access to the water, design and contemporary relevance, destination capability, and value within class.

No live leaderboard is shown before the audit. Voting closes on 14 January 2027. Winners are published on 15 January 2027.

“The Yacht Awards exist to recognise the charter experience a yacht can genuinely deliver,” said Dr. Christoph Lymbersky, CEO of Blue Ocean Club. “The 2027 longlist is large enough to reflect the breadth of today’s fleet, and the verified public vote gives owners, captains, charter brokers and guests a structured way to take part — without turning the process into a popularity contest without criteria.”

A Transparent Award

The Blue Ocean Club Yacht Awards are an annual editorial assessment of the charter fleet. They carry no entry fee. Yachts cannot purchase a nomination, finalist position or winner status, and no paid placement is accepted within the selection process. An owner is not required to submit or nominate a yacht for consideration. Advertising expenditure and commercial relationships do not form part of the judging criteria.

How to Take Part

The full 2027 longlist, nominee profiles and ballot are published at www.blueoceanclub.com/yacht-awards/2027.
