Honeymoon Yacht Charter — Greece, Croatia & the Caribbean
Two of you. A private crew. One unrepeatable week.
For couples who want the most private, unscripted week of their life — no resort lobbies, no fixed timetables, no other guests.
A honeymoon yacht charter is the closest thing left to a place where the world cannot reach you. You wake up in a different bay every morning, the breakfast you want appears the moment you want it, and the only itinerary is the one you write at dinner the night before. Hotels can deliver luxury; only a private yacht can deliver this much privacy.
Our honeymoon charters are built around two people. That means a smaller, more intimate yacht (typically 60–90ft), a single guest cabin used as a suite, and a crew briefed to disappear when you want them to. The chef cooks for two, the tender drops you in deserted bays, and the captain plans the next day around what you actually want to do — not a fixed schedule.
Most of our honeymoon clients charter in Greece (the Cyclades and the Ionian), Croatia (the southern Dalmatian islands from Hvar to Dubrovnik), or the Caribbean (the BVI and St Barts in winter). All three work brilliantly; the differences are climate, light, and how easy it is to fly in.
How we run a honeymoon charter
- A crew briefed for two
Smaller crewed yachts (60–90ft, captain plus 1–2 crew) where service is calibrated for a couple, not a group of eight.
- Itinerary written for you
We pre-brief the captain on what you actually love — quiet anchorages over nightlife, lunch at anchor over berthed dinners, late mornings over early sails.
- Chef-led menus
Tasting menus on the foredeck, lobster on the beach, breakfasts that arrive when you wake up. Dietary preferences pre-agreed and provisioned.
- Private celebrations
Surprise proposals, vow renewals, anniversary dinners ashore at restaurants we've worked with for years. Discreet, not theatrical.
- Total privacy
No other guests, no shared decks, no resort lobby. The yacht is yours for the week — including the swim platform, the tender, and the toy locker.
Routes we run for this
Pick a trip length to see the regions we charter most often for honeymoon charters.
Three nights between France and the Italian Riviera. The wedding-night arrival in Cannes is the point.
- →Embark Cannes, dinner aboard at anchor off the Lérins Islands
- →Saint-Tropez for lunch at Club 55 — tender in
- →Cross to Portofino, dinner at Puny
- →Morning swim off Paraggi before disembark

Crew, chef & everything else
- Captain & dedicated crew
Captain, hostess and (on 80ft+) a chef. Crew size scales to the yacht; on our honeymoon picks it's typically 2–3 crew for two guests.
- Private chef & provisioning
Bespoke menus pre-agreed with you. All food provisioning included via APA; alcohol budget separate and clear.
- Tender & watersports
Tender for shore drops, paddleboards, snorkelling kit, often wakeboard and seabob. Larger yachts add a jetski.
- Surprises arranged
Champagne on arrival, in-cabin flowers, vow renewal, in-bay private dinner, photographer for a morning — all pre-arranged on request.
- Concierge ashore
Restaurant reservations, spa, helicopter transfers, beach club tables. Handled by us before you board.
- Wifi & connectivity
Most yachts now carry Starlink. Confirmed at booking.
What they said after
“We had genuinely no idea this kind of holiday existed. The crew were invisible when we wanted, perfect when we didn't. The week we got back to London was the worst week of the year.”
A. & R., honeymoon in the Cyclades, 2025 · Greece“Blue Ocean talked us out of a bigger boat and into the right one. The Bowa dinner alone was worth the trip.”
J. & M., honeymoon Split → Dubrovnik, 2024 · Croatia“First time on a yacht. The captain rewrote the itinerary three times based on what we asked at dinner. That's the bit hotels don't do.”

Common questions
- How much does a honeymoon yacht charter cost?
A crewed 60–70ft sailing yacht or catamaran in Greece or Croatia is €18,000–€32,000 per week plus APA. A 25m crewed motor yacht starts around €40,000/week. Caribbean prices are 20–40% higher and quoted in USD.
- Where is the best place for a honeymoon yacht charter?
Summer (May–October): Greece (Cyclades or Ionian) and Croatia. Winter (November–April): the British Virgin Islands, St Barts and the Bahamas. The Maldives works year-round on larger yachts.
- How long should a honeymoon charter be?
Seven nights is the sweet spot — long enough to forget routine, short enough to leave you wanting more. Three or four nights work if you're combining it with a city or land stay.
- Do we need our own crew or sailing experience?
No. Every honeymoon charter we arrange is fully crewed — captain, hostess, chef on larger boats. You do nothing.
- Can you arrange a surprise proposal on board?
Yes — this is one of our most common requests. We coordinate flowers, the ring's safekeeping, photographer (discreet), and the bay you'd anchor in. Tell us as early as possible.
- Are tips expected on a crewed yacht?
Yes — 5–15% of the base charter fee, paid to the captain in cash at the end. 10% is standard for excellent service.
We treat honeymoon charters as the most important week we'll ever plan for a client. There's no second chance to get the first week of a marriage right, and the difference between the right yacht and the wrong one is felt every morning. Tell us where you want to wake up — we'll handle the rest.
