    Split

    Embark in Split under the walls of Diocletian's Palace — 1700 years of continuous habitation inside a single Roman building. Evening cruise to the Pakleni group.

  2. DAY 02

    Pakleni Islands

    A pine-scented chain of islets just off Hvar — the locals' weekend escape. Beach club lunch at Palmižana, then a tender hop into Hvar Town for the evening.

  3. DAY 03

    Hvar

    Hvar Town — the Med's prettiest small port, watched over by a 16th-century Venetian fortress. Climb up for the sunset, then descend for konoba dinner in the back lanes.

  4. DAY 04

    Vis & the Blue Cave

    West to Vis — the most distant of the major Dalmatian islands, closed to outsiders until 1989. The famous Blue Cave on Biševo is best in the late morning light.

    • Lunch at Stiniva, in the cleft beach voted Europe's best
    • Visit the old British naval tunnels above Vis Town

  5. DAY 05

    Korčula

    East along the coast to Korčula — supposed birthplace of Marco Polo. A miniature Dubrovnik, with the same fishbone street plan inside a walled peninsula.

    • Climb the bell tower of St. Mark's Cathedral
    • Watch a Moreška sword dance performance (summer only)
    • Wine tasting of Grk and Pošip in Lumbarda

  6. DAY 06

    Mljet

    The greenest Adriatic island — two-thirds of Mljet is a national park, with two saltwater lakes inside it. Kayak to the islet monastery in the middle of the larger lake.

    • Cycle the loop around the two lakes
    • Swim in the warm waters of Veliko Jezero

  7. DAY 07

    Dubrovnik

    Final cruise to Dubrovnik — the Pearl of the Adriatic. Anchor below the city walls for the postcard view, then walk the full 1940m circuit at sunset.

    • Cable car up to Mount Srđ for the panorama
    • Sunset at Buža Bar on the cliff outside the walls
