An Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), typically between 25-35% of the charter fee, is payable separately to cover expenses such as fuel, food, beverages, and berthing fees. Any remaining APA funds are returned at the end of the charter, or additional funds may be requested if expenditure exceeds the initial allowance. Crew gratuity is at the charterer's discretion and is not included in the base charter rate or APA.
