# Ibiza and Formentera Yacht Week — A Working 7-Day Itinerary

A private yacht charter in Ibiza and Formentera is the Mediterranean's most concentrated lifestyle week — beach clubs, DJ residencies, sunset rituals at Es Vedrà — but planned badly it becomes traffic jams between Marina Ibiza and Illetes. This 7-day Ibiza yacht charter itinerary is built around the anchorages that matter and the **Posidonia seagrass anchoring rules** that catch first-time captains by surprise.

Day 1 — Marina Ibiza → Talamanca

Guest pickup at Ibiza Airport (IBZ), 15-minute transfer to Marina Ibiza. Lunch underway, anchor at **Talamanca** for the first afternoon swim. Sunset cocktails on the foredeck with Dalt Vila as the backdrop. Dinner at **Lío** inside the marina — book table 4 weeks ahead.

Day 2 — Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta

Dawn departure for **Cala Salada** on the north-west coast — sheltered pine-fringed cove, glass-clear water, lunch on board. Tender into adjacent **Cala Saladeta** for the rope swing and rock platforms. Sunset cruise back along the west coast.

Day 3 — Es Vedrà sunset

Late morning departure south-west to **Es Vedrà**, anchoring north of the rock to keep clear of the Posidonia field. Lunch underway. Late afternoon at **Cala d'Hort** beach. Sunset cocktails on the foredeck with Es Vedrà silhouetted to the west — the signature Ibiza yacht charter moment.

Day 4 — Crossing to Formentera (Illetes)

Morning crossing south-east to **Illetes**, Formentera's turquoise sandbank. Anchor north of the lighthouse on a designated buoy (not on the seagrass) — the Posidonia field starts immediately south. Tender ashore for lunch at **Juan y Andrea** (book a week ahead in season).

Day 5 — Cala Saona and Es Caló

Morning at **Cala Saona** on Formentera's west coast. Lunch at **Es Caló** on the north coast — small fishing-village restaurants where catch-of-the-day actually means it.

Day 6 — Espalmador and back to Ibiza

Morning at **Espalmador** — the small uninhabited island between Ibiza and Formentera with the famous natural mud pool. Late afternoon cruise back to Ibiza, dinner at **Cipriani Downtown** inside Marina Ibiza.

Day 7 — Final morning, return to Marina Ibiza

Final swim at **Cala Bassa**, lunch underway, dock at Marina Ibiza for guest departure.

The Posidonia rule every captain must know

The Balearic government enforces strict anchoring rules to protect Posidonia seagrass meadows. Most Ibiza and Formentera anchorages now require either a designated buoy or anchoring on a clear sand patch verified with an underwater camera. Fines for chain damage on seagrass run to €100,000+. Reputable charter operators use the official anchoring app (Posidonia Maps) or book buoys in advance.
