“I've been on board LIR more times than I can count, and she still surprises me. With space for 8 guests, she works equally well for a multi-generational family week or a tighter group of friends who want every cabin to feel like a suite. Happy to walk you through a week on board personally — there are a few details that don't make it onto any spec sheet.”

Accommodation
4 elegantly appointed cabins host up to 8 in serene comfort, served by a professional crew of 3.
Indicative layout based on 4 cabins / 8 guests. Final cabin configuration confirmed by the yacht's manager at enquiry.

The Crew
A professional crew of 3 dedicated to your charter. Working language: English.
Toby Wood
United Kingdom · English
Toby grew up by the harbour in Ramsgate, UK, and has been on the water virtually all of his life, with his father almost as passionate about sailing as Toby. We are really fortunate in having such an experienced and highly qualified Captain on board Lir. Toby started his charter career in 2015 on Lir’s sister yacht and since then, with us throughout, he has worked hard to gain qualifications from Advanced Powerboat Instructor to RYA Yachtmaster, adding to his prior excellent record in dinghy racing. He has now completed six Trans-Atlantic crossings with two of them as Captain of Lir and three as Captain of our sister-yacht. Toby genuinely enjoys sharing his enthusiasm and teaching guests more about sailing and water sport with everyone on board, whilst ensuring your safety and full enjoyment of the charter experience with Lir.
Ciara Lucking
United Kingdom · English, French, Spanish
Growing up in the Vendee in France, further educated at Kings College London with her degree in Hispanic Studies Ciara is fluent in French, Spanish and English; Italian is now the next language being assimilated. Ciara’s love of food and wine came from being trained and working in her family restaurants in both France and England coupled with sailing in the Mediterranean from an early age. She first worked on Lir in the summer of 2015 and has gone from strength to strength ever since, developing her knowledge and experience of worldwide cuisine through a combination of work and travel before, during, and since completing her university degree. With the combination of Vendee and London life, Ciara was brought up with all types of hospitably, food preparation and presentation in her blood and she is never as happy as when she is ensuring people have a really memorable time in her company - full of delivering quality luxury food and wine combinations, or just spending time with Lir’s guests. One of our favourite quotes from Ciara is “ I thrive on enriching the lives of others through memorable experiences”.
Sam Rowe
United Kingdom · English
Sam is passionate about his time both on the water and under it and it is a pleasure for all that he is Lir’s vastly experienced live-aboard Dive Master and First Mate. When Sam is not diving or on a boat he is a Tour Manager, involving him in traveling the world with high profile, demanding artists, juggling multiple tour buses, trucks, freight and performers. When you have the time and want to chill and chat, he will keep you entranced with stories about life on the road and under the water. Sam was brought up amongst the beaches, coves and caves of Cornwall, UK, so it is no surprise that he turned to boats and diving; with his wealth of experience, he really knows the difference between a good dive and an amazing dive, whilst also taking great care that your time on deck and with water sports is as relaxing or as hectic as you desire. Sam has delivered over 1000 dives all around the world.
