When planning a charter, an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is customary, typically amounting to 25% to 35% of the charter fee. This allowance covers variable operational costs such as fuel, food, beverages, and mooring fees. Any funds not utilised are returned to the charterer, while any overspend is settled at the end of the charter. Crew gratuity is at the charterer's discretion, offered as an acknowledgement of service excellence.
