The Western Mediterranean is the most infrastructure-dense cruising ground in the world: deep-water superyacht berths, private-jet gateways, Michelin dining and world-class shopping sit inside an hour of each other, and passages between harbours are short enough that guests are almost never at sea when they would rather be ashore.
Who should look elsewhere: Travellers who want empty anchorages, wilderness or a low-key trip in peak summer. July and August are crowded, expensive and heavily booked; the same coast in May or October is a materially different experience.
