A note from your charter specialist
If a client asks me for a yacht that simply gets it right, RISK TAKER is usually my first call. The 32m Hargrave build hits a sweet spot — big enough to feel like a private floating villa, intimate enough that the crew remembers how you take your morning coffee by day two. Happy to walk you through a week on board personally — there are a few details that don't make it onto any spec sheet.

The Crew

A professional crew of 5 dedicated to your charter. Working language: English.

Captain

Eric Crownover

United States · English

Eric was born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico. As a kid, he would join his Dad on the lake every weekend where he started to develop his love for the water. Following in his father's footsteps, he joined the Navy and was hooked to the ocean as soon as he laid eyes on it. After a short career as a dive instructor, Eric decided to start working on boats full time as a deckhand on cruise ships. After gaining experience there, he moved to Fort Lauderdale to start working on private yachts. After three years as a mate, he took over his first boat as Captain. Eric has been working on the water for over 30 years.

Deckhand

Miller Harvey

United States · English

Miller Harvey is from West Palm Beach, Florida and grew up in the town of Stuart. He likes to fish and dive every chance he can get. He's been working aboard RISK TAKER since February 2022 and has accompanied our vessel to the Bahamas twice as well as up the East Coast to North Carolina. He hopes to share the joy of being on and in the water with each and every guest.

Deckhand

Ben

United States · English

Ben is from Fishers, Indiana. He has always wanted to travel and experience new cultures while meeting new and amazing people along the way. Having been raised on a lake and spending most of his life operating boats and water toys, it seemed fitting that working on a yacht would be a perfect job. He is planning on traveling back to Indiana to finish his degree in finance and real estate this September but will be returning to the industry after graduation. He is a positive and outgoing person who works hard and likes to stay busy. Every day onboard a yacht has been purposeful and it’s been great getting to learn new stuff along the way. He is excited and optimistic about where yachting will take him in life.

Stewardess

Reva

United States · English

Reva has extensive experience in the yachting industry, ever since she was little, she developed a passion for hospitality and serving her family. Reva expanded her passion by taking several hospitality courses such as: bartending, silver service, and floral arrangement among others. She enjoys entertaining and puts love and effort into everything she does, she enjoys planning guest activities and is fun to be around. Reva has worked on both private and charter yachts from 20M up to 60M, exposing her to international guests: Americans, Russian, Latin, and Europeans.

Chef

Kacie Skalak

United States · English

Kacie discovered her passion and appreciation for cuisine at a very young age. A Texas native, Kacie grew up in a small coastal town fishing and hunting to help her family put food on the table. As soon as she could reach the stove top, she was taught how to source, appreciate, prepare and serve beautiful dishes. From fish fries on Friday nights to watching Chef Justin Wilson on PBS in attempt to replicate his meals with her siblings. Chef Wilson would state “J’vous garantis, (I ga-ron-tee). Cooking is the ability to take what you have and create a good dish and season it right.” Fairly seasoned & passionate about the world of cuisine, she began her journey at a family owned restaurant at 12 years old.. dishwasher to Sous chef. She expanded her horizons and spent more than a decade in the Austin, Texas food scene where she successfully opened and ran 3 restaurants but, the coast was calling. She brought her skills and love for food back to her hometown and spends her time on land at her home surrounded with family. Her time on water is spent preparing dishes where your palate is awakened with Kacie’s passion for preparing the best with a Texas flare. She loves what she does and it shows in every bite. J’vous garantis

Ownership economics

What a yacht like RISK TAKER costs to own — not just to charter

A charter week on RISK TAKER is a fixed, all-in number. Ownership of a 32m yacht in this class is a five-year commitment — crew payroll, insurance, class and refit reserves, berthing and depreciation. Our yacht ownership vs charter vs fractional ownership study runs the real five-year cost of a €15 million yacht against the equivalent charter spend, and the most profitable yachts for owners ranking shows how much of that stack charter revenue actually recovers.
